Shaykh Muhammad Al-Imaam Question: May Allaah reward you with good. A questioner from Ta’iz says: What is the interpretation of the one who sees in a dream that he is getting married? Answer: From them (the scholars) is he who says that he who dreams that he is getting married, they interpret to mean that he is going to die. From them is he who interprets it to mean that he who dreams that he is getting married shall bear a heavy debt; and other than that. At any rate, it is not binding that one say that it is interpreted with either of these two meanings. Rather, it could be understood and interpreted that he shall attain something that he shall enjoy and benefit from. Perhaps it could be wealth or status; from that which pleases him and makes him happy; the person will be pleased by receiving status or wealth. At any rate, this dream does not indicate anything religious; it does not indicate anything that will benefit the person from the perspective of the religion. However, it indicates something from the affairs of the Dunyaa; or something from that which you have heard a little while ago, and Allaah knows best.
